This wouldn't be a cool, retro-style personal website thingy without a page enumerating all the cool things that I enjoy, which, in turn, make me all the cooler for enjoying them. Being an Internationally Recognized Interactive and Multimedia Auteur, it of course goes without saying that I am deeply immersed, to an extremely cool and awesome degree, in the creative pursuits. I like making and looking at art, fiction, unfiction, tabletop roleplaying games, video games, and so on.
My favorite television programs are Twin Peaks and Lodge 49. Both were cancelled after their first two seasons and ended on cliffhangers. Twin Peaks was eventually continued ... 25 years after it's original cancellation, and the wait, let me tell ya, was well worth it, in my opinion. Let David Lynch cook. I tend to follow Doctor Who, but it's no Twin Peaks. It's my obligatory Disney space superhero property. I don't really get into any of the other Disney superheroes, whether from space or otherwise, because one is my limit. It's only recently become a Disney thing, but everything will become a Disney thing eventually ... hell, technically even Twin Peaks is, or at least was, at one point, a Disney thing, since it originally aired on ABC. Anyways, fuck Walt Disney, fuck his ice box, and fuck the overgrown anthropomorphic rodent he rode in on.
Anyway, since I spend a lot of time making and playing games (especially roleplaying games), I suppose it follows that I dip into techy special interests quite frequently. I really like Linux stuff, "ricing," cyberdecks, and retro, as well as retrofuturistic, and wildly impractical computing. I do a fair bit of coding by necessity, being a solo game developer and all that, and I suppose I enjoy it just fine, though it's mostly a means to an end, as, I suppose, it was always intended to be.
I am also an extremely powerful occult practitioner, a dedicant of the great Mother Night, may her calm embrace be eternal and may her many names be forever extolled in the great halls of the Infinite Palace, and a local Chapter Custodian of the Portinari Society. I have even designed my own deck of Tarot cards (see the Art page for more info if you're interested).
Oh, I also like thrifting! Wish I could do more of it. I sort of have it set up as part of a small business type situation, whereby I trawl for hidden treasures and collectibles at thrift stores and then flip 'em, usually for a pretty unimpressive profit, on one of several internet marketplaces. That theoretically helps me keep thrifting, but since I am actually much more into the treasure hunting aspect than I am tolerant of the tedium of actually listing inventory, it's really kind of dependent on just how depressed and dysfunctional I happen to be at any given point in time. Although I suppose that affects most of my pursuits and interests to at least some extent.
